Our story began back in 1952 when two young ambitious local men bought a premises at Pacific Highway Wyoming and started a transport company delivering everything from citrus and timber to eggs to Brisbane and Melbourne.
They also purchased a “Stiff Back Crane” for loading and unloading the trucks – proving to be popular with the local builders.
The years that followed saw the purchase of two more cranes. The men decided to go there separate ways. George decided to take on the cranes and moved to new premises at Dyer Crescent, West Gosford. Waters Cranes service was established.
George was an incredibly hard-working man and the business grew as the need for mobile cranes rose with the fast-growing Central Coast region.
George passed away in 2006. The business is still operated and owned by the Water’s family employing 20 local operators from the larger premises now situated at Dell Road, West Gosford.
Many of the employees have been with the company for over 30 years. Today we have 10 Cranes, Semi-Trailers, Hiab Trucks and Table Tops all thanks to George Waters and his hard work and dedication
